Thought it was necessary for such a wonderful musician to have a thread of his own. Discuss.

No man, not at all. I love Summer of '69 and that Robin Hood song. Guy's got an amazing voice.

Both outstanding songs. "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman" is another one that really gets me. I know it's kind of cheesy, but there's something about it I really dig.

If there's a better pop song than "All for One," I certainly haven't heard it. (He did that with Sting and Rod Stewart though, so maybe it doesn't belong in this thread.)

If he did it with Ting and Od Stewart, then yeah. I think it counts.

In all seriousness, there was a time a few years ago when I listened to Cardinology obsessively. I like the whole record, but I think Sink Ships is absolutely gorgeous.

The ladies love it so it is inherently not cheesy.

Some good natured trolling, no doubt.

That said, Gold is one of my fave albums of all time (Top 5) road trip discs.

I also really like Love is Hell, the Wonderwall cover is great.

His cover of "Wonderwall" is pretty great.

And I believe he has punched out a few folks who have requested "Summer of '69" at his shows....

Got to admire his prolificacy. But with so much material, some is really great and some is kinda half-baked. I'm still a fan, though.

Summer of 69 is awesome. He is a total dick if he refuses to play it at his shows. Dick.

What I appreciate about him is he has mastered his voice. Any given album, he sounds different from song to song, which I appreciate and know is intentional.
I have played in a few bands that the lead singer seems to emulate Ryan Adams, and indeed it does draw in tail.....
however, I for one can no longer listen to this music.
