I'm in the market for a new general purpose work/hard wear boot. I'm looking at all the current military desert-style Bates and Altama boots, but this just caught my eye:

I guess I am a bit of a traditionalist, preferring a smooth leather boot. While I am most familiar with military issue boots, I like that these don't look like they came out of a surplus store. I also really like that they offer wide sizing!

Does anyone have a pair and have feedback to offer?

Secondly, what is the sizing like? I had a paid of RW Gentleman's Travelers in 9.5 that just never felt great because they were too narrow. I now happily wear 9EE Wolverine 1000 Miles.
