Ummm. yeah.

Okay, a few were priceless - like the Christmas one. They have some really scowly cats, though.

Hmmm... apparently the English translations are spurious, and the originals in Russian are standard lolcats fare. Can anyone who reads Russian confirm this? edit: obviously this is so. The given translation for the following is, "Cease your rescue attempts! Harvest my connective tissues so that the Motherland may restock her glue reserves." http://rolcats.files.wordpress.com/2...pg?w=450&h=546 I'm reminded of those Bugs Bunny cartoons where they're speaking the language of the natives, and two sentences translates as two words, and vice versa.

Actually, the Russian text reads more like mildly amusing limericks. Some are actually pretty clever...so not standard lolcat fare. Edit: the English captions purrfectly capture Soviet propaganda rhetoric...it's brilliant.
