How much does diet affect running? I seem to breathe harder and run slower whenever there was junk food from the previous day.

Eating improperly the day before any type of exercise is rough on me as well. My body does not work to full capacity. I try to eat a good amount of protein and carbs so I can have something to burn. Also, I try to hydrate as much as I can, this seems to help me the most.

Hydration is a key, but make sure you eat well generally...I usually can't run with much in my stomach...
