I have a pair of suede JL Chambords that are my go to weekend shoes and I absolutely love them as I can dress them up for casual Fridays to jeans on the weekends. However, I am experiencing one issue with them.

It seems that the rubber soles are very slick. I figured that a little rain would cause slickness and that also the old worn out streets and smooth sidewalks in Madrid would be slick, but this is not merely rain and stone issue. The soles are just slick. I also have a pair of EG Perth´s in Walnut Country with a rubber sole and these are like glue. I can´t figure it out. Any thoughts or suggestions on a fix? I am almost at the point I want to get them refurbished, but the soles are like new and so it makes no sense to waste the money.

Unless you are driven by chauffeured limo every where and you just have to take a few steps on a pavement before getting inside I suggest to get rubber soles installed.

I honestly think that walking on leather soles and then pay to resole your shoes is stupid.

Read the OP--he already has rubber soles, and they're slick.
