Would you put rubber outsole on the front and back of the CJ handgrades or just wear it as is ?

Thanks.

Adding Topy sole covers (and possibly heel-lift replacements) would be one option if greater slip- and wear-resistance are desired.

If a shoe with a 'hard finished' leather sole does not provide secure footing, I have had Topys applied, with good results. So, my answer to your question, Zip, would be ...yes!

It depends on what you are looking for. Goodyear-welted shoes with leather outsoles are very flexible when you walk. Adding a rubber outsole would decrease their flexibility and the breathability of the leather. On the opposite hand adding a rubber outsole makes the shoes less slipperyand it also protect the stitching of the outsole. Voilà . Up to you to chose.
