Just picked up the cream dress chinos in a 48. I sized down from 50 relative to Cavour mod 3 and armoury model B trousers. The waist on the 48 rubato should be close to the 50 Cavour (ever so slightly tight on me but liveable), and the rest of the measurements on the 48 rubato are similar to slightly more relaxed than the 50 armoury 3B. Waist may be a bit of a gamble but assume I can let it out a cm or two if needed given rest of the measurements seem in line with what I like.

Happy to provide an update when they arrive in a few days.

Did your Mod 3 trousers match with the size chart? I have 2 of them and they did not. The Thigh was more like 33-34 cm on both and not 35.5 cm. I had to widen the thighs a few cm.

I hope for the dress chino to match the 35,8 cm in the thighs.

I just ordered the dress chinos in 48, so I can not judge the fit, but I went down a size compared to Natalino trousers in 50.

I ordered the cream dress chino in 48 as well. I’ve been eyeing these for about a year, but never purchased after the price went above $400. (Btw, the sage sold out fast!)

Re sizing: I tried the 48 on during the PS Pop up in NY last year. I remember feeling the waist was a bit loose at the time. I’m typically a 48 in Armoury or Drakes. I wanted to also try the 46, but none were left. So I always felt unsure about the sizing… making it tough to order online. Ultimately I chose the 48 in the sale as I have been burned by too small trousers in the past. Better to take the waist in if in doubt. But I can see why some might try to size down.

Will be great to hear feedback from all the 1st time Dress Chino buyers.

Just got the last sale item I bough, shorts in cream. The cream is more warm-ish and yellowy than my other cream stuff that leans to more cold and beige-ish cream. I guess more similar to their nuage cotton nonpareil stuff, which is also more warm/yellowish. Will at some time take some pictures of all of the stuff that I've got here. The fabric itself and the cut is pretty amazing. Very happy with them!

I go down one size, XS should be fine for you. I am 5’9, 165 lbs, with broader chest and also got an XS which fits a bit snug but overall very well.
