I'm getting married at the end of June and I am watching the "Royal Wedding" and I am noticing that lots of attendees seems to be wearing long dark morning jackets and grey pants. I like the colors, though I am curious to hear what you think of the long morning jacket look here in the states -- would I be laughed at?

If you must ask... I would say that it would depend on how your peer group -- i.e. friends and family at the wedding -- would feel. But at the end of the day, it's your wedding. Knock yourself out. And congrats on the wedding.

I, along with the best man and ushers, wore a morning coat at my wedding. My clothes were my own, while the others were rentals with ties and pocket squares I gave them. I also had suede gloves and an old silk top hat. I really think that for it to look good, at least the groom needs to wear clothes that have been properly fitted to his body. Those who rent need to have their options limited and be accompanied to the fitting so as to prevent disasters.

The problem with morning dress in the States is that no one owns one, and they are very difficult to find OTR. This means that everyone will likely have to rent one--and rental universally looks terrible.

While it's technically "wrong", DB stood out for me as one of the best dressed:

I really like Beckham's peak lapels. Very dashing.

The only critique I've heard so far about Becks is that he wore his medal on the wrong lapel. All that aside, I thought he looked alright.

Father of the bride looked, naturally, very respectable.
