After forty years his Lobbs look quite old. Some have been visibly patched. The vamps are cracked to a fare-thee-well, yet they are always very highly polished. It's a look only a prince can easily pull off without appearing to be a vagrant. I have Lobbs that look quite the same and I wear them only when I know I'll be among friends.

By the way, I've been told that the three-warrant Lobbs are a relic, Charles having withdrawn his patronage. He may not have ordered any for five years due to his devotion to the old ones.

No more freebies?

I'm sure Charles doesn't pay for any of his shoes or suits...

He also left Anderson &Sheppard for MTM...

I am wrong. It's not Charles but Queen Elizabeth whose warrant has been withdrawn. Checked the website. My apologies.

Gets his shirts and suits from Turnbull & Asser now, though many of the suits he wears are his old A&S ones.

I will immediately burn my T&A shirts after this revelation.

Neither do I, but whether Charles shops there or not is not going to affect my purchasing from T&A. I love their shirts. Whomever else purchases from them is not my concern.

I'm not anti -Royals ...

I just don't find them very interesting sartorially speaking...

Charles has his own style but the rest of them are not exactly sartorial gods..

Must suck to get your warrant pulled.
