Hi,

So I picked up some old "Royal Sceptre" by Cheaney shoes.

They seem pretty decent, nothing amazing. but will be a bit smarter for my casual days. Though a tad big, so I'm yet to decide whether to keep them.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about their "Royal Sceptre" line. I've googled, and searchwed on here and not been able to find much.

Thanks,
R

If it's the same product (and I imagine it is) Royal Sceptre was a line of shoes sold by Eaton's in Canada years ago. The few I've seen in thrift shops don't look like they're calf, but they seem to be well made.

Hard to get detail shots of the inside, as it on a camera phone.

On sole of the inside of the shoe it states:
Royal Sceptre by Cheaney
Leather soles
Leather Uppers
Made in England

On the side of the inside of the shoe:
Nene
488-491C 5227 F9
Code No 41

The sole is leather, doesn't appear to be welted, but the rubber on the heel states Dainite.
