Round Neck Sweater and Tie?

Is it appropriate to wear a round neck sweater over a dress shirt with a neck tie on? I know you would usually do this with a v-neck so that it shows enough of the tie. But, does the roundness of the round neck collar cause any difficulties with the look? Especially if I use a four-in-hand, which is a smaller knot?

If you mean a crew neck sweater then yes, I've seen it done before.

I did it earlier this week, but decided it wasn't that great enough of a look for me to consider again. This is why I need to start setting out clothes the night before.

I've done it once or twice. There's nothing wrong with the look, but it's a bit pointless.

Im not a fan. If you are going to do a sweater with a tie, a V neck or a cardigan.
