Rough weight of a 750ml bottle of liquer

Haha yeah this is a strange question (and no I don't own a scale).

I'm looking for some shelving to hold my liquer collection, which is currently taking up space where my microwave wants to be.

Not really sure what I want to hold but I need to know weights so I know how much I'm looking to hold. Could just buy a cheap bookshelf, mount some shelving into my wall, or custom build some funky getup, whatever is cheaper.

I've only got about 16 bottles right now and don't anticipate it growing beyond 25 before the end of the year.

Looking for how much the typical 750ml bottle (full) would be, I'm thinking along the lines of a bottle of Stoli.

Thanks.

"Shipping weight" for a regular 750ml of wine or liquor is typically 3 to 3.33 pounds, it seems. I'd use 3.33 to be safe.

It's an old apartment. I have to double-check I can even put stuff in there but pretty sure I can. Really not sure what I want to do with this......argh. m

Why wont a simple liquer cabinet suffice?

A clean-looking, simple liquor cabinet would be perfect. However, is it easy to find such a thing for around or less than $100? Canadian?

If you can find such a thing you are a man among men and I will take a picture of a Stoli-mixed cocktail and send it to you

Or plaster if it's 50 years old or so. I've got an idea -- but it'll take time -- why don't you bust out the wall or parts of it and build shelves between the bracing studs. It'll look very pimp having recessed shelves.

That sounds pretty pimp, but I'm not sure my landlord would like me taking out a large section of a wall to do this. Too bad because it's a really interesting idea. Guess I could kiss my damage deposit goodbye....

To further the idea I had this wierd idea of taking out the whole wall that is parallel to the apartment hallway, and replacing it with a window so I could wave to passerbyes while eating dinner. m

Yeah, you could go all performance art and just live in a glass apartment -- go about your business and whatnot. Or you could have a one-way mirrored common-wall. I like it.

Spirits are lighter than water, so the contents of a 750ml 40% will weight less than 750g. The bottle won't be much more than 2-300g so the upper limit for the total weight could be around 900g-1kg. That's two pounds and a change if my assumptions about the bottle are correct.
