Rose Bowl Anyone

I think i'm going to the Rose Bowl this year (or rather Pasadena[or shopping in LA] for the RB as I abhor football.) It is either there, or NYC for ball drop/whatever else my friends and I get ourselves into. As I am not even 18, I think my choices in NYC are quite limited. So, is anyone else going to the Rose Bowl?

I'm not going, but either the Rose Bowl or NYC would be great. The bowl experience is pretty nice, especially the Rose Bowl with its parade and all. And besides, the Rose Bowl could be a once in a lifetime experience for you. Either choice will provide lots of fun and opportunity for mischief.

I would have gone to the Rose Bowl had things played out for USC to be back there again this year. I've gone the last three times they've played there and always have a good time.

It's too bad you're not 21 or your options would be vastly greater. Still, you'll probably have fun.

Even if I can't enter any bars or anything, everyone else is 21 at the very least. I'll most likely drink if they tailgate (I don't know why they wouldn't.) I'm looking forward to shopping in LA.

And how do you know already that the Trojans will not be back in the Rose Bowl? The Beavers still have to beat a pretty good Oregon team to get there. Of course, the Trojans would also have to beat a rather poor UCLA team to get there as well.

Indeed I do. Are you a PSU student?

Because the Trojans are far more likely to end up in the Fiesta Bowl than the Rose...

From what I hear tell locally, a lot of Trojan fans are hoping the Trojans will go a bowl other than the Rose Bowl, figuring they will get a more interesting and challenging matchup that way.

No, I am not a PSU student. To get quite technical, at the time of the game only two people going so far will still be students. Doesn't much matter though as I hate football (as stated in OP.)

Although I suggested that going to the bowl would be a great experience, it seems you strongly dislike football. It you have no interest in the sport whatsoever, then why go? I think you still can have fun, but I would think some interest in the sport would make for a better experience.
