I'm thinking about a trip to Rome this fall. Can anyone recommend a few hotels for the budget-concious traveler? Clean, decent location. The cheaper the better, but max of around $200-$250 a night.Originally Posted by chorse123
I can give you 3, all fit the bill, all pretty romantic, older, clean. stayed in all of them. before I drag them out 1. about 15 by bus to everything, or maybe 1/2 hour walk. nice, resonably large rooms. nice staff. a couple of good resteraunts near by, in a upscale residential neighborhood. this is where I stay. probrably the cheapest option 2. better location, right by the termini. smaller rooms, more expensive by 20% 3. better location, nicer in general, larger rooms. maybe at the upper end of your range. old grand hotel.Originally Posted by globetrotter
