How much would you sell it for? I wonder about the resale value of early Gellers, since his is more of a cult audience. I love the pieces I own as part of an archive collection but am wary of dwindling closet space...

Hey guys, honestly, is the coat too long? Gotten some feedback IRL that's waaaay too long and makes me look short. I'm not tall to begin with and it's a 48. =/

My initial reaction was it was slightly long, but not a dealbreaker and it makes up for it because it so damn nice.

Haha. I like the coat, but I'm biased with everything Geller.

Length is fine, it's supposed to be fit longer.

I was thinking if anything it should a couple inches longer. Looks great imo

Maybe that's the issue though. Not long enough to look like a full length coat, so instead it just looks too big.

I don't mind it either but I can see why some would.

I sort of felt that way about my red zip trench. But it was that plus the fact that it was red that made me sell it. If it had been one or the other I probably would have kept it.

I think yours would be better off with skinnier and darker jeans
Or maybe just a dark shirt and give those pants a hem?

How tall are you? Looks like it may have been a little too long for me. Or maybe a little too short as said above.
Have you tried to see how it might look with the hem pinned up to shorten it a couple inches? Maybe even a slight shirttail hem. Also I get the feeling that the untucked shirt and stacked pants are exaggerating the effect by making your legs look shorter.

Skinnier jeans would help with that longer jacket.

Someone else called it "shapeless" =/
I'm pretty biased too...it's why I had to ask.
    You lie!
Interesting observation, something that I didn't consider, I think you guys could be onto something...
Granted, I am terrible at styling anything. Part of the reason why I'm pretty much buying all Geller now and letting him style everything for me. [IMG] And didn't realize how sloppy the denim stacks looked until I took the pic.
5'7". Even at a 48, I've never really had any issue with the lengths on Geller stuff, the blazers, bombers, jackets, all seemed fine, granted I think I do have a longer torso...it's just that this coat just extends way past that. Personally, I am really against altering the lengths on coats/jackets.
Didn't realize that would be the case, more reason to pick up some type D denim [IMG]

Was looking at old cloak collections (fw04/05) and found this great picture (lifted from an SZ thread):

That's a really cool silhouette. I think I'm going to try to reproduce that.
