Herp. Great interview.
Agreed, wonderful interview. Geller always seems very down-to-earth in his interviews. You get the sense he has a humility that many designers lack; like he takes his craft seriously, but himself, not so much.
What're you talking about?
^ should've posted the one where wax-rick pisses on himself
to be fair, rick comes off as super chill and pretty humble from his interviews
Agreed, that interview on rft was good. He seemed down to earth, basically unassuming. This side of his personality just happens to er get off on himself a little bit. Somehow I can't picture RG having that side, at least not to that degree.
that's now two interviews he's done for SF. maybe it will be an annual thing where we check in with him every fall. you know, just to catch up, see how he's doing.
Haha, I know. I actually love the megalomaniac side of Rick though. If Bobby Geller reads this thread anyway we should do an SF group buy of all the runway shit that buyers don't pick up...
On another note, did he do anything good with tencel this season? I have the same tencel shirt Artishard has and I love it to pieces, so good for summer and so easy to layer.
HI ROBERT GELLER I LOVE YOU <3 <3 <3
I saw the list of leftover stuff...it was not exciting. And samples will probably show up on y!jp Also I don't think there is any tencel this season, pretty much all linen blends. And that collarless tencel lounge shirt is pretty much the best thing ever
agreed. i basically alternate the two i have all spring/summer.
I'm considering the cropped flight pants for the summer. Can a shorter guy with an athletic build pull these off? Also, how are people sizing them? I normally wear a 31 or 32 (Euro 48) waist.
Has the length of his tshirts changed since SS12? I actually prefer the long length of the tshirts in the older collections.
I've found it really varies by the t-shirt and the season. I've got some that are long, some perfect and some short. Last Fall was especially short for the Sound & Warsaw tee's, but this season's graphic tee's seem longer (likely closer to SS12).
See Nomad fit pics and you'll see what I mean. Long and slim.
So, I was bored and I was just gonna point out some old stock I found but here's pretty much everything interesting from Y!JP and Rakuten right now as well. I skipped most of the seconds stuff and tees.
