Romano martegani alligator chelsea review

Not one person on this forum has written that Romano Martegani shoes are great Blake rapid construction shoes. But this brand deserve more posts here. That's why I decided to write review on my last purchase of Marteganis. I have about 10 pairs of Martegani shoes and I have 3 in production (MTO). I am not expert in shoes at all but I Have rather big variety to compare (Vass, g&g, c&j, Rozsnyai, EB, Carmina, etc.). This pair is black alligator chelsea made from center cutting belly. This pair and other I have are made from very good leather first of all. It is hard to compare gator, as this quality gator hide I Have only Martegani, but I Find it very beautiful. Shoes are made on classic last (35) which is rather widish and have high instep. For me that last is best (from all brands I have). The form has semi-square toe. Very elegant and good proportioned last IMO. Sole is made from leather and I Asked to attach topy rubber sole. All made is quite neat. All stichies are very neat and clear. But this pair has minimum of them and that gives it value. Construction is BLAKE rapid. for me that construction is same as goodyear. I don’t see any advantage held by goodyear or BR. Insole is made from good full grain leather. Overall quality is on par with brands I listed earlier. But as you can see I have special place in my heart for Martegani but it has some small disadvantage.. For instance material of heal (rubber part) of rather pure quality. It takes long for all my shoes to get heal changed, but Martegani have to be replaced rather soon((( Also last shoes had heal stich little bit not vertical. It is not seen at all and under the pants especially but all the same. But Martegani have perfect service and they resolved that problem. Also they said that this occurred because shoes are hand made and that happens ofcourse... I still wonder what part is made by hand... Lasting... ? Cutting for sure.... What else...

Anyway I strongly recommend this brand with great quality, service, flexibility, and adequate prices.

I saw his thread but it looks dead for quite awhile... And I don't see as much appreciation of Rm brand as say Carmina thees days. Same time I consider it same quality at least with much better service, variety of models, flexibility in MTO program. It looks strange and unfair to this nice shoes. RM makes dozens of English styled shoe models which in favor of sf society but sometimes It looks like people grade thing very prejudiced... If that is not Goodyear it is not good...
