I'm not advocating class struggle here; but I can't stand insufferable show offs - I mean - to invite scads of rollie owners to your house - so your neighbours can see - wtf?

How do you know their intention was to "show off" to the neighbors? Because that is what you would do if you had a nice car??
Don't be jealous of what others have, just work hard and aspire to reach the level they are at.

+1. Recently, I've seen too many of these threads, and it's always dissing individuals/people with nice cars. For the life of me, I don't get it. Maybe, it's just jealousy. No, I don't own any of these luxury machines but I do work hard to get there someday. If they don't physically harm you with their way of life, leave them alone.

Why am I not surprised that this is in Texas? Does anyone know if it is Houston or Dallas?

Likely Houston, they mentioned West University place, which is located in the Rice University area. Aside from the Stetsons, they seem to be having a good time...this seems no different than any other car club meeting.

There's a couple of beauties in these pics.....unfortunately none of them were women.

BTW I didn't mean anything bad by my Texas comment. I just thought that seeing someone in a Rolls wearing a tuxedo with cowboy boots and hat fits right into the stereotype of the Texas look.

Houston, probably, and I think I've seen that street. In fact, I might have had to retrieve our FE student from one of those houses early one morning. Mostly old money around those parts, retired surgeons and lawyers and the like. Decent enough people, and I see no reason to hate on them.

I'm guessing there's a story to go with this.

...I got a vague sanitized version from our bleary-eyed viking, but long story short the evening started early and hadn't quite ended and involved a number of clubs, bunches of alcohol, and abodes where wealthy parents were overseas. Judging from the articles of clothing he was missing, I'm guessing he enjoyed himself.

Funny, though, the same thing happened in Cancun not a month later. He lost his shoes (later recovered) and a shirt (lent to a college girl) on different evenings. No, we weren't there to witness. He certainly was careless with clothing.

I think there's a lot he never told us.
