After a little bit of reading it seems Bob Ridley is good. So I sent him my 11 yr old never been serviced, gift from my wife, Polar 2 to him an hour ago. Any feedback on him?

Regards.

So you sent it out and now what reassurance? Seems like the wrong order.

Don't know the guy but had my Air King of similar vintage serviced by the local Rolex dealer (it was running slow), ran me $300 which seems about par and had no complaints. Any authorized Rolex dealer *should* be fine.

All questions Rolex:

I am not familiar with him, but you should have researched first. There are many authorized places that can do the service. You may have even had a good place near you so you do not have to ship the watch.

Don't know Ridley. Did send a couple of my vintage Omega's and two others to Central Watch in NYC. They seemed venerable enough--Timex to Rolex!

No need to worry. Ridley is known as one of The Guys, if not The Guy, to send a vintage Rolex to for service.

Thanks tchoy and NOLA1. I did prowl around Rolexforums and it seems that he is the best for Rolex, had talked to him earlier today and I was comfortable sending him my watch so I did.
No worries at all, since he is so highly regarded, but was just curious if any of the SF members had personal experience with him since I trust SF members!
Also the kids wanted burgers for dinner tonight, and Zadok, the Panerai AD is next door...so stopped by before burgers and left with this...and also placed order for 386....
