I know, here the focus is on the socks, but, without forgetting the shoes, I want to especially praise those wide bottom trousers, unfortunately too seldom seen in these days.

Yes,
the beauty of trousers is too forgotten these days.
A trouser is at its best with a wide leg imo.
10 - 11 inch bottoms is my preference.
The shops sell narrow trouser leg,
and none look good.
That is why me do the MTM and bespoke trouser.

So few men do the trouser/sock/shoe combination well.
Trousers are the biggest offender.
A man must have beautiful trousers.

Here is a man from the Fedora Lounge who do the very wide trousers very well.
Important to do the cream trousers extra wide imo.
Recently wanted 11 - 12 inch bottoms on a new pair of wool cream,
but MTM only allowed for 10.5 inch and would have needed a new pattern to go wider.
Didn't want to risk starting a new pattern.
Next bespoke pair will be cream trouser with 11 - 12 inch bottoms like the man in photo here.
It will have a high fishtail back.

You're right, almost impossible to find wide leg trousers these days, so better to go bespoke or made to order. By the way, there's a new thread about wider trousers, glad there are other people sharing my love for them.

Have liked wide trousers all my life.
Eventually gave up on rtw because the legs were too narrow.

Alan Bee had an excellent video on how wide trousers are supposed to wear (cannot find it),
he explain it much better than me.
See this video to see how his wide trousers move with his stride.
Very elegant.
Too many men wear their trousers like jeans,
they don't have the beautiful movement and luxury look of a proper cut wide trouser.

Warning...awful music, turn off volume.
Alan Bee truly understands the wide trouser.
