Nice boots, Namor! Deets?

thanks! Alden #8 Captoe, Plaza Last. Leathersoul make-up

in the sunlight

I was comparing my Aldens to several pair of C&J and JL and many of the Aldens look comparable in terms fit/sleekness. The primary difference I noticed is that Alden has a giant last. What I mean is the welt comes out too far thus giving an otherwise good looking boot a "clunky" appearance. Not as evident with the Plaza last though

Exactly why I asked - they looked sleek for shell and I was very confused. :)

thanks jhcam8. Love the "USC" trojans argyles. Mac owns the argyle look so its easy to forget they can be worn with something other than a cordovan loafer. Well done sir

All my aldens are on either Plaza or Aberdeen lasts, I don't really like any other lasts. Even the Plaza last is quite clunky compared to English lasts. Is the boot recent? Does Tom still have them?

I agree. They would appear less clunky if the welt wasnt so big. Double leather adds to the clunkiness. I bought these about 6 months ago from LSBH so it might still be available.

Maybe it is just poor photo color quality but, if it is accurate, the color of the socks doesn't go with the pants. They are far too intense to coordinate. Get a pale purple or better yet get something in harmony with the shade of your pants.

Nothing a little boner and changing the color of my socks cant fix.
