1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Hey,

well, i own maybe one black and one grey over the calf sock. I usually wear navy, brown or darkgreen socks. The burlington socks are just for casual or rustic dresses.

Yes of course i own some shoes and pants :). Here are some pics.

Carmina Epaulet MTO, Simpson last, A bit narrow, okay if you don't have to walk too far. I just need to walk from the garage to my desk and sit behind a computer all day. I wouldn't do the simpson next time.

They are Gaziano & Girling Wigmore in Vintage Oak and Brown Highland Grain on the TG73 last.

Probably my favorite pair of boots in my collection.

I really like these Chelsea boots because of the last they are on...very modern take on the english chiseled toe.

However, I am not a huge fan of the chestnut color....I am thinking of sending them to one of the shoe painters to get re-finished. I was thinking maybe like a forest green patina....thoughts???

I do not dislike the original colour, with some patience it will probably develop a very nice patina of its own.

If you go for the re-finishing, it all depends on the IRL colour of the side gussets...
Anyway, forest green sounds good to me [IMG]

    The Elastic Gussets are brown.

I also agree they probably will develop a nice patina over time by polishing with some dark brown wax...

I'm just torn cause right they are really very orange...and I hate orange...and I've always wanted a pair of chelsea boots in green..

    We shall see...

Indeed. I just love my new C&Js. Have a pair of AS Ramsey on the way as well. But in the future I think I'll only buy C&J..

Come fall, I think Grain boots will be a good choice. My local (Stockholm) store have a nice MTO-pair coming in (based on Northcote I believe..)
