1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I also started out primarily with matching socks to slacks. Once you branch out, you can use other pieces of your outfit to coordinate with your socks. If you saw our entire outfits, it would help. Check out the WYAW threads to get the full picture.

For example, you can rock blueish socks with gray pants and brown shoes assuming you have blue in another part of your outfit. Eventually, it may become a free for all and there is no color matching. Happens to me from time to time.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a little worried the antiquing wheel was left on for a little too long in some spots but I think I can work with it. It may be how it's supposed to look but in two areas it was a little "grey".

They are the brown with blue pin dots. These ones are not transparent, being essentially double faced to create the 2 colours.

its really narrow. i have a pair on the simpson last and it probably took at least 2 dozen wearings for them to feel comfy. now they are excellent.

Yesterday (hurried phone pic, had to do some work for a change, ker!)

Amazing what you see in a pic that you don't see IRL. Need to give those a full clean and not just focus on the shiny toe. Laces out next time :embar:

@jungleroller, that combo of yours always does it :nodding:

@SeanP Euro was spot on, good advice that.

If I may add a couple of points… just to say use colour, it will often surprise you. However, be wary of the luminous, stripes, zig-zag etc etc! Not done well is the sock equivalent to the cartoon character necktie!

Also use traditional plain stuff too, it looks great really well executed.

Cheap socks look cheap, don't they? Don't go crazy though , unless you want to but certainly don't buy basement.

And finally, take inspiration from those that do it well, there's some key looks going on here that has meant my sock drawer has had to be relocated to larger premises! Much to the Duchess' chagrin!

Be good to see you round these parts again.

Dear Gentlemen, welcome to the RYSC "Friday Spots" competition, hosted by SF and wisely judged by mimo.

I craved so much to participate but, having no spots in my socks drawer, this is what I rock today:

Nonetheless, I have been taught to face difficulties and to do my best to overcome adversities. And so I did.

With a stroke of genius and the help of this simple instrument

I am now fully entitled to take part in the competition:

In case of victory, I would like to dedicate it to my menthor, Angus MacGyver.

    Well said Burton.

Mac, regardless of challenge, nice combo. Very clean.

I am home today dealing with a sick toddler and sloppy weather, so casual Friday. This challenge also made it obvious to me that I need a couple dress socks with dots. Add it to the kop list...somehow there is always more kopping to be done.

Happy Friday Gentlemen! May be a bit too crazy with the socks but I'm feeling funky today. New suitage preview.
