1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

For socks try a search on "Patherella. ". Sierra Trading Post has good deals sometimes.

Happy socks seem to be everywhere these days. Nordstrom has em priciest. Even seen them at jcpenney half the Price And on sale. Even famous footwear has em (saw em lookin for polish). Express has a ton of crazy socks usually buy 4 for 24 and j crew now carries their own too.

Not pantherella quality but have the crazy designs

Howard Yount has a nice selection of OTC. "One size fits all," so best for sizes 9-11.

Saks Fifth Avenue had a huge sale on pantherella socks this past holiday season.

Sean P: I personally don't buy Pantherella because they don't make over the calf socks in all natural fibres. I don't like to wear nylon blends, and I almost always wear long socks. So, with those caveats, three recommendations for all-natural high-quality socks:

www.blacksocks.com 100% cotton fil d'Ecosse over the calf socks. On the down side, they only have three colours - black, dark grey, and one "seasonal" colour which I think this year is green. And they only do solids. But I had to mention them because they are the most bullet-proof socks I've ever seen. I've had a few pairs that must have been washed fifty times and they're still in great shape - and never fall down! Good service too.

www.meschaussettesrouges.com Styleforum affiliate and I'm wearing some of theirs today (Mazarin). Brilliant selection, and I'd recommend the cotton Mazarin for every day solids, the wool Gammarelli for (serious!) luxury, and the Bresciani for patterns. The latter are new with MCR, and I got a couple of pairs recently. They are absolutely gorgeous. Service is great, and you'll feel very special when you get that packet in the post. I strongly recommend you try a couple of pairs, your feet will be happy.

www.viccel.com Very reasonably priced and a great selection. Automatic SF discount if you're logged in here when you visit their site! I only tried some rather flimsy super-light ones, and they weren't tough enough for me. But I got what I asked for. Might be worth trying some of their other lines at that price.

    In the mean time:
