1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I just took a closer look at my new shoes. The left foot is a 9.5E, and the right foot is an 11.5D. I knew something felt weird. I thought you gentlemen might get a kick out of this:

Also, I am digging the suede theme today.

Betel they should stretch out. I had a pair of suede loafers that were extremely tight and within a few hours they were super comfy.

Coldsalmon, WTF MAN! How is that possible? Did you order online? That is scary

Gents I am starting to have my OTC socks stick to my trousers. I have read a few people having these issues. Is it static or what?

Thanks on the comment. About this, I think yes. If trousers are "heavy" (flannel or something like that) static should be the reason.

I was wearing a light weight suit and I was having static. I may have to wear mid calf instead of OTC unfortunately.

i have that with all OTCs, especially when wearing pants with a tapered leg. its why i rarely wear OTCs, and when i do, i fold them down.

Also, it's good for loafers to be tight to start with - I've made the mistake of getting a size that feels OK in the beginning and after a while they get too saggy. Because they are more open and less structured, they will mould to your foot a lot more than oxfords. My blue tassels were very tight to begin with; after a few wears they're starting to feel like they were made for me. Another pair I have were comfortable from day one but now feel a size too big and are on my list for home-made adjustments. Lesson learned.

    1. Don't buy socks with nylon in them. You won't get static from cotton.

    2. But depending on the relative textures of your socks and trousers, they still might catch just a little when you've been sitting, if your trousers are narrow. Soft wool catches the least, heavier fil d'Ecosse more, and anything with a mix including artificial fibres e.g. Marciolani, Pantharella, sticks like a motherfucker.

    3. And it's still worth it. Ankle socks are for girls. (OK, or jeans).

Your suit action is just off the charts. The texture of this one is awesome, and I love the way it looks like the pattern is designed around the crease - an optical illusion I think, but super awesome! I have just ordered commissioned some new trousers and suits with two inch turn-ups just because of what you've laid down in this thread.

I've never much liked this style of boot. But there is something about whiskey shell that seems to make anything awesome. I might just have to.

Mimo thanks for your feedback. I need to check what the materials are in hangar project socks.

That suit was my first MTM a little over 3 years old and it still wears like a champ. Just minor alterations with my weight loss.
