These shoes are amazing! You got them from Skoak right? I really need to figure out my size on the Simpson last. So many of Carmina's best models are on the Simpson.

Thank you sir. Yes, they are from Skoak on Simpson. Figure that out fast - it's fantastic. Go to them with the fact that your Uetam 9UK Loafer didn't fit and they'll know what to do. Leaves/Patrik is ridiculously awesome.

These are my favorite shoes. Unfortunately the only non-suede competition they have are my Carmina Double Monks in Tan Calf but I have two MTO Uetam loafers coming (one suede one navy shell), one MTO Simpson Burgundy Adelaide coming and an EG Westminster in dark oak coming next week. So you guys will get different shoes daily/weekly. YAY.

Haha. You're in on all the same MTOs I am. And I have a pair of Westminsters on the way as well. In Bauxite though as some of us weren't lucky enough to have the sole pair of Dark Oak Westminsters miraculously appear in our size [IMG]. Lol

Why is everyone hating on the Bauxite? That stuff is gorgeous.

    Also, to all the pros.

Can these two serve the same purposes? If so, I'll sell the Carminas.

I don't really understand the love for Carminas. Other than the shell stuff the leather looks and feels cheap.

I love my Carminas. But they're not for everyone. And I definitely don't have anything to compare it to.

    So what I'm saying it...

    Ignorance is bliss.

Well, obviously I'm not hating as I bought the shoes. I will say for my purposes, the dark oak would have been a bit more desirable. That being said, I'm more than happy with my purchase.

PB, you strike me as someone who only allows the finest of calf taint to grace his feet, and while I take no issue with that, I'm sure it aint cheap. For those of us just getting into the game, Carmina represents a really good value. They're certainly the nicest looking and feeling shoes that I've ever worn. If you know of a better alternative at or around that price point, I'd absolutely love to hear about it.

I cannot afford the best (bespoke). In all honesty I don't know what Carminas cost. I just remember seeing them at Epaulet and not really being impressed with the way the leather looks and feels compared to other brands I have handled.

I'm in agreement that shoes won't get Better at That price point. Carminas are supreme bang for the buck. My job and income does not afford me the right to buy what yours does.

Plus.. my Simpson last carminas are pretty stunning to me. And the uetam loafers are some of the best looking loafers I have seen at any price point. Which is why I have four. Two on MTO .

the simpson last is damn near perfect, and at their price-point (500 +/- for non shell), they are pretty much tops. imo.

Ah, I thought they were more than that. I thought they were more in-line with C&J handgrade.

325-400 Euros for calf and up to 600 for shell boots. MTO puts 50% on top
