1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Very nice, I'm starting to like your inclination to wear lighter socks than the pants, I think it would look even better with the shoes less matte, more polished ala upr_crust

I don't have the gumption, but the gentlemen at my local shoe repair shop have not only the gumption, but excellent technique in these matters, and for a small fee, they shine my shoes exceedingly well.

    Indeed,

English is not my first language so I had to google the word gumption so I learned something today :) , I do take one day a week to shine at least the couple of pairs most in need.

That is a good point, crusty. And one of the advantages of living in a city like New York. I wish there was someone locally that I could trust to properly polish my shoes.

Rikod - Glad you enjoyed the new word. :)

It is harder than I thought to find socks with a small amount of light grey in the pattern. It is surprisingly limited.

That looks really good. Very pleasant, harmonious combination. I love captoe derbies, and those are damn fine.

I actually enjoy getting a great shine on my shoes, kind of like therapy. My wife thinks I'm crazy.

Justin you are the man! you have a great boot collection. :nodding:
Sorry about your promotion. My company is sending me to a mining project in the desert 50 miles from Vegas. They're in big trouble and need a lot of engineering support. I won't be posting for a while unless it's pictures of my steel toed boots!

Lucky guy. I'm going to the desert outside of Vegas. No fun during the week but I'll make up for it on the weekends. I hear they have great shopping. Just what I need, there goes the overtime money :D

They should arrive Saturday, I have one day to debut them before I'm banished to the desert. Did you see the Bontoni's from the German seller? Somebody got a great deal on those.
