JHC - yeah, thanks
Patek - beautiful
CMess - crazy socks!
Carmina Navy Shell Bal Boots And the meaty shaft
Extraordinary. Was going to get the navy shell wholecuts but they're out in my size. This perhaps a better use anyway; what an outstanding piece of footwear. You have surpassed yourself, Sir.
AE black shell Leeds w/ laces from the Knottery
Brooks Bro socks
What's with the stupid laces?! (Kidding; scroll up...)
Maybe a bit of overload with the socks, but I get where you're coming from. Only thing is, having looked at your shoes, mine today, and a couple of others recently, I've come to the conclusion that Allen Edmonds make some damned ugly lasts. Which is a pity as they fit like an old pair of slippers. *sigh*
The rest of the getup:
patek - you are like a mullett
namor - awesome.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
This is one of the weirdest comments I've seen!
(Ignoring the other one! )
Good, I thought I was the only one that was lost.
A mullet is a type of haircut, about which it is often said, business in the front party in the back, Google for a picture if you like.
So to, your suit and tie and shirt are all business, but when you look down to the socks, there is a little bit of party going on.
While I know what a mullet is, I have never been described as one.
Carry on with the socks...
Yes those buckles were kept buckled all the time...I'm not Lino Ieluzzi or Ezio Mancini.
I know what a mullet is. Started out as a radio competition to name the hair cut about twenty years ago. It's a fish, originally...anyway, thanks for explaining the reference, I get you now!
(Mr Kapur - more awesomeness....)
(Mr Foxx - details?)
I agree about the last. These were 2nds, my 1st shells.
As for the laces, I was trying to liven up the otherwise institutional shoes. The freshman seminar I teach is having dinner at the college president's house, & our school colors are red & black plaid. So, w/o even seeing the plaid bowtie & cufflinks, you're right; it's over top. I prefer to think of it as Jack Donaghy's "power clash."
