Nice, why shame on CK socks, they are no good?
I was raised in a barn and not instructed by the livestock as to keeping my feet off of the furniture. What can I tell you?
Yes - I prefer to travel in soft, wrinkle resistent clothes - as it's a 20 hour trip and if all goes well I will sleep much of the time.
I work in architecture/design, you?
Delish. How did you size in these? Btw, I'm wearing BR socks today. What's embarrassing is how we can remember the brand names of generic colored socks.. Mimo, those wingtips were from Alden #8
awesome piping on the chair. nice combo too.
we are twins!!! YAAAAYYYYYY
Same size too
Ex-government, now have a small consultancy outfit in the region - mostly marketing advice, and bits and pieces of due diligence, partner identification, and some political/risk analysis here and there. I've been in various countries around here for about fifteen years. I like it. No good shoe shops, though.
Two of my business partners are architects - don't know where I keep finding them...
Our name is legion, for we are many.
I guess you find them because there are lot's of 'western' architects floating around the region. Ton's of construction and no local professional practice firms of note = an army of westerners all crawling all over each other to make a dollar or two.
As for shoes; there is a Lobb store in The Mall of Dubai. But that's about it.
All of my Carminas are the same size - 7UK, which is pretty much my 'normal' size. These are a bit snug compared to the Rain last - about the same as the Simpson. I presume they will loosen up with some wear. They are a really simple shoe - moccasin construction, very thin single sole. More or less your classic house slippers. The price reflects this lightness of construction - I think about 160 Euros?
Awwwwwww...........isn't that cute. A new bromance!
My partners are all local, but I know what you mean. The Gdot Legion is strong...
There's also JM Weston right above John Lobb. Their prices are hilarious, as long as you're not the one buying. I did time-waste in JL on a brief visit to Dubai once. The nice Chinese fellow who works there admired the leather on my old Loakes (!!!), and took the time to chat: in response to my question about insane pricing, he said simply that "the Russians buy everything". I think the retailer is now at least partially Russian-owned.
But the nearest to real shoes in my home city is a scruffy selection of Barker's (some real, some fake!) in a corner of a slipper shop. I'm seriously thinking of finding an investor and opening one myself.
MTM HF DB suit.
Socks are loud. Deal with it
That's awesome justin.
