While I don't like any of the colors here this all works together nicely.

Perhaps--but the color is all wonky (it is an iphone photo). The shoes are burgundy and brown spectators. The socks are pink (fuchsia) but not as vivid as the photo seems to suggest. Pants are not quite as yellow (again the color saturation is all wonky). But if you saw the pink shirt and tie, it all gets tied together.

People keep saying things like this, but I don't think it makes sense to match the color of your socks with anything worn on the top half of your body. Maybe they shouldn't clash, but to have the same color socks as tie or shirt or pocket square? Something about it seems not right, and I want to say because it seems overly-affected, or possibly too much like a costume.

I think they only reason you should ever wear pink socks is if you are wearing pink trousers. Then again you shouldn't be wearing pink trousers either. FAIL.

I think that its okay to match socks to top half IF AND ONLY IF the socks trousers and shoes all match. If they dont match and then you try to connect it up top then it looks horrible. just my .02

LOLz. None of it matches...this isn't Garanimals. But a pale pink checked shirt with light tan trousers on a 95 degree day certainly work. And the socks are a nice flash of color that work well with the reddish spectators. Certainly not CBD, but casual. Patrick cracks me up...I think his tie might be too tight.

Really, I thought the most controversial part of this was going to be the PacMan pattern. I knew I should've worn the navy Space Invaders socks.

FWIW, I rocked pink socks at my wedding that echoed my jacket lining, pocket square and my bride's shoes. A bit of playfulness can be a good thing.

while what you say may be very true, please keep in mind, justin was not reaming you. just giving you some constructive criticism. and imo, he was correct. so while what you have may technically be working, it could be better. keep that in mind.

im not saying im a master of this thread, but when i first started posting here, i thought my combos were working great. lets just say, im not so proud of them now. take the advise and use it to your advantage, its not about defending your choices, its about allowing yourself to learn.

just my thoughts, take it or leave it.
