thanks guys. the solid navy socks i have are darker, maybe that was the issue. i dont have any lighter ones, or houndstooth/birdseye in blue. looks like i need to do some shopping. :)

    how about a solid gray?

Grey with pindots or something would definitely work. Navy socks on the lighter spectrum are hard to come by I have noticed.

Yes - photochopped the color a smidge. (added color intensity) Only to the point that the colors show similarly to that which you can see in real life. It's hard to photograph subtle color sometimes.

If your average 8 year old can do it I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to as well. Although I must admit I often require assistance with the TV/cable/entertainment system remote control. It was apparently created for beings with a great many more brain cells than I have managed to retain.

Cool. I can barely take pics of the shoes. I bought the camera and a telephoto lens (which I do not use) for my wife. She photographs the kids and I photograph . . . . .my shoes. Sometimes I look at the pics and think ok . . . I guess . . that's close. I am not allowed to take family photos . . . . .

I have some lighter navy with white pindots by Marcoliani. That could work.
