Understood, G. My comment was not meant to start an argument for sure. I just think sometimes people buy the shoes and forget to wear them. The discolorations should be appreciated--they are, after all, coverings for your feet.

Edit: and one of the reasons why this thread is coole (for those of us with a shoe fetish :)) is it shows them in action. Your contributions are always excellent.

To add to your method of filling the light spaces, I often take and push wax polish into the shoes in those areas with my fingers and then brush extensively.

Tasteful. Especially in terms of color.

I like the shape of this last on you. (sorry Fritzl) I consider the 337 last to be pretty enlongated - yet it doesn't look so on your foot. Do you take a wider width?

Uncle, I always love your Aldens, but these don't look like they fit all that well. Look like you could stand to go up a width.

This is all awesome, especially the Santonis. That Hickey cloth is gorgeous. I'd say that the argyles were a bit much if it weren't Saturday.

    DC Lewis custom I believe.

    Burton,

Gosh! No intention of starting and argument or even a debate. So sorry if my comment was too brisk! :worship:

I do the same with the creases by the way - rub a dub dub!

:D sometimes I cross over to the dark side.

No, it's the regular width (E), I like chisseled/elongated lasts in wholecuts, they look fat otherwise.

Interesting observation. You have a highly developed eye for lasts and shapes.

I am not big on those socks. I think the shoes and trou are killer.
