Well, I've been drinking bourbon and other american whiskeys that can legally or technically be called bourbon too if they meet the criteria and is made in the USA, (although the tradition is to call bourbon only Kentucky whiskey) for many years. I love them and have literature of them.

Where in the world did you ordered bourbon and got scotch? :uhoh:, another common mistake (even here in the US) is to prepare the popular cocktail whiskey sour with scotch instead of bourbon or jack daniels or any other american whiskey, you have to specify, the taste is horrible with scotch.

Used to happen fairly frequently in Holland, France, Germany, the UK. It seemed that as often as not if I ordered Bourbon I'd receive Scotch. But if I ordered whiskey I'd receive either American or Candian whiskeys of various configurations. Most often a Candian blend. Obviously we're not talkin' bout fine bars here. I hung out in some pretty low brow spots in those days - mostly punk/new age dance clubs in which one drank whatever well brand swill they were serving and rarely ordered a 'call' brand.

Thanks, Spoo. They are a really rough, almost course, wool. They are quite tough to match but once you do, quite rewarding.

If I had it to do all over again - would have gotten a complete suit made.

These are indeed the ones I arranged through Betty. Although they are a stock shoe - all she had to do was pull them from the stock in Paris. The whole process took about a month.

Thank you, coming from you that means a lot to me.

By the way they are deep green, not blue. Very hard to capture the color in photo.

I'm beginning to appreciate why Carmina has such a fine reputation with shell cordovan shoes. My first pair from them pleased me, but this second pair is even better.
