well, i didn't know about the 006' destiny as it is the most pleasing GG last to my eye with certain models.
in regards to casual shoes, i prefer the almond shape, which is much more suitable than the blob, imo
after all, i do not cuff jeans.

Justin - Warning, This is my opinion so you can take it for what it's worth, OK? :)

The socks are fun, the shoes are elegant, but the two together clash. It is just way too much going on. The socks and shoes make two very different statements that really don't work together. I'm sure people comment on them. But getting attention doesn't mean good style or even looking your best.

My suggestion is that you save those socks to wear with plain casual shoes, loafers and for casual attire like khakis or jeans.

Save the green Bontoni's, and wear them with solid colored socks or very small, simple patterns (such as pin dots) that don't detract from the detail of the finish of the shoes. (I wouldn't wear patterned socks at all with them). I would make these my go-to shoes for solid grey flannels. Grey flannels and solid grey socks would be the perfect, neutral background to make these shoes look their best IMO. It would really put them up on a pedestal.

I would also wear the green Bontoni's with jeans and a blazer and blue shirt (and a pocket square with just a touch of green:slayer:)

Believe me I sincerely appreciate feedback. I know the socks are super wild for the shoes and unfortunately I have been on the look for something perfect. They fit snug so I cant do anything too thick and I really like Pantherella just getting the right colors and simple prints which is exactly what you suggested. I was thinking of greys, burgundy, reds, and olives as perfect colors for these to give them a little flare but nothing that detracts away from the beauty of the shoe. If you have anything you can suggest as far as links :satisfied:

    Thanks for your opinion!

Now Mac, you must post this image on the Alden thread; it will put many-a-curious mind at ease. By the way, you look great; the top bit sits well with the bottom bit.

    me? much appreciated, thanks.

are you referring to the shoe circle?

it certainly helps that bluchers are seen as dress shoes in the neck of my woods. so, i actually have only a few pairs, i would call casual.

you are served well with vass and there's no need to change pathes, imo.

certainly, i will not hesitate to give you assistance if possible. just pm me. you're welcome.
