    where do u guys buy socks that are comfy? please let me know.

    looking for like grey/green combo, black, dark colors, and most of all comfy ones.

    there's no best, imo. the traditional ones are w/o heel counter, which gives a better balance, imo.

    Two coats of Renovateur, one (or two?) coats of plain old Kiwi tan paste wax.

    (And LOT"S of buffing!)

    I would NEVER apply a pigmented patina to shell cordovan.

    Just curious what does apply Reno to a shell achieve? Secondly I believe and I may be wrong Saphir makes a cordovan cream, any reason you choose not to use it and prefer the reno instead?

    Thanks, I was just teasing "there is no best" btw the tradition ones are without counters meaning there is a seam in the back of the heel connecting the quarters?

    Shell can dry out just like any other leather. Reno adds moisture.

    Why not the Saphir cordo cream? 'cuz I don't happen to have any and don't believe I need lot's of 'special' products in general.
