They may be old - but they're still sweet kicks. Although nothing lasts forever.........they'll probably fall apart with another 20 years or so of heaving wear. :butbut:

A guy in the bathroom at work today asked me if I have ever heard of Alden shoes.

Didn't your mother teach you anything about talking to men in restrooms?!?!?!?! :nest:

Thanks!. The end of your sabbatical is near, Vass will be a good choice
sstomcat - the color is burgundy, Vass calls it bordeaux. Nice Alden w argyles

Yes - and they do burgundy especially well it seems. I'm thinking a London Oxford, U last, will probably be my first choice.

Me today:

Shoes - C&J
Socks - Pantherella
Trou - Well - they are ebay cheapies.

Another example of George H.W. Bush rocking his socks. It's not the best picture, but he is obviously the one with the bright blue socks.

I ordered the same size I wear in the AS 87 last. The lasting on these is quite long as they're 1/2" longer longer than my AS and a touch wider.

Rikod,
The Budapesters rock - and look great with argyles. It seems a nice blend of styles to my eye.
Vass are next on my list when I come off of shoe buying sabbatical - which will be probably the end of March.

Don't do this to yourself!

No in all seriousness I am considering one myself after having just ordered two pairs of Decos in the last month :embar:
