Rather poor weather conditions on the school run this morning, so I’m wearing a pair of Santoni Everests, Amidé Hadelin socks and Steppin’ Out chinos.

Wow, another amazing pair of Lattanzi. Love style and leather.
You must have spent big money lately. Are they RTW, MTO or bespoke? How was your purchasing experience?

These are RTW, and the fit is excellent. I have wanted these for years. Purchasing experience is a nuisance....poor english....no credit card works, so need to fill out a big form in Italian and quote bank numbers as long as your arm....HUGE fees....then they send to the wrong address, and it goes on and on and on. I could say more, but l better not. No matter what a nightmare things can be, the shoes are great, l wouldn't want shoes by any other maker anymore.

Would love to do bespoke, but maybe just as well l don't. The dreams that l could make come true would be enough to keep me awake at night, so better not to. And, expensive addictions and all.....better to leave that stone unturned. So many possibilities with lattanzi, more than any maker.

Thanks. It sounds like a true nightmare, I'm glad that finally you can enjoy your beloved pairs.

Did you buy all these new shoes together, or in different times?

The price seems reasonable for such shoes (I suppose entirely handmade).

It doesn't surprise me that they fit well, as you already had other pairs and know as the last(s) works.

Ordered some together.

Some Lattanzi shoes are reasonably priced, others are not. For eg, Monks are often about 3K, oxfords can be around 5K, norvegese or fancy antiquing goes much higher. About 5 years ago Lattanzi quoted me 18K for crocadile, would be much more now. Years ago a lady bought a pair of Lattanzi alligator boots for 75,000 GBP - the pair would be made from twin crocodiles (siblings) and would need to be found on the farm to get the close match of the scales. Wrong croc?...ooops, back in the pond, better find the other one to match, just watch that your arm doesn't get eaten.

3K would be about the same for G&G optimal, which to me is a good deal. Yes, all handmade. To me the Lattanzi styling, leathers and antiquing and ability to make virtually anything makes him worth the extra, but just as important is the unequalled comfort so many of his fans talk about.

About 5 years ago John Lobb Paris also made 100% handmade pairs for about 4 or 5k. I also approached Edward Green about making handmade pairs, but they refused.
