Great posts! Question, because I can't seem to find the answer online. To Boot shoes/boots, are they goodyear welted?

I can't comment on all To Boot New York shoes/boots, as today's shoes are the only ones I own from that label, but, from what I've seen of their offerings, I suspect that they are not, in the main, Goodyear welted. I believe that there may be variation in construction, depending on styling, but I believe, on the basis of appearance, that their shoes are Blake or Bologna construction.

Thought train behind shoe choice? (Point of curiosity - no more, no less)

Do you mean why did I buy these shoes or why did I wear them today or ...?

If why did I buy these particular shoes: I like the details, a bit more unique, didn't want to buy just another wingtip brogue derby. But more importantly, I wanted a rubber sole that I could wear when it rains and this was the one that I liked the most from J.M. Weston.

If why did I wear these today: Thought it was going to rain. :)

More a why did you buy? Question answered, thank you.
Wing-tips do inflict a touch of boredom. :)
