TTO- I think a darker purple, like plum, would have looked far more elegant.

I think deep purple/plum is the right color especially with grey flannels for fall. These bright purples are good for spring and summer.

The grey flannels with patterned grey socks is :slayer:

care to share the idea behind red socks and classic/conservative business dress(cbd).

no offense, i'm always reminded of pippi langstrumpf or a clown, though.

The red socks remind me reading the rules by Esquire...

Rule No. 231: The man wearing bright-red socks deserves whatever's coming to him.
Rule No. 232: That said, nice socks, buddy.

    :slayer:

With that in mind, I too own and wear red socks. Definitely surprises people when they catch a glimpse.

Thank you guys. I think that red socks are a sort of classic twist in menswear. But I (almost) only wear them with casual outfits :embar:

I'm afraid I was more boring today:

I really like the darker purple lower pair for fall. It looks right. Save your bright purples for spring/summer.

I just so want to take the shoes and socks off you and put them on me. They'd look much better that way. :D
