Some friends just saw Lauryn Hill a couple weeks ago and said she spent the 80% of the show chewing out her band for not playing the way she wanted.

+1. I saw her with MosDef doing her recent material. It didn't translate live imo. But, my favorite show of all time was Badu at the Fillmore a few years ago. ******* amazing. She had the audience in the palm of her hand. Commanded every moment. Her band is tight, tight, tight.

blackstar and blackmoon was enough for me to go, not to mention common, SoM, blu + exile, wu, nas, lauryn hill and even MF.

I was at the Toronto show. it was nuts. Meth and Red crowd surfing on top of us, Nas coming out was bananas. I was right at the front and it was tough to stand up when Nas was playing.
