I know mainstream brands are look down upon, but i was looking at some rock and republics and i though the denim was really good (Not $350 good though). Very interesting texture. What is the consensus on rock and republic? I like them. Just because it's popular does not mean it's bad.

I have a really kickass pair of Taylor Morphines from R&R. I like a little more room in my jeans, and some flashier detailing. If you don't mind standing out a little - double R's on the ass kinda do that - than they are awesome, well-made, interesting denim, and good cuts. Expensive, though, - I got mine $98 on ebay, and I consider that a fair deal.

You can do worse, I guess. They're better than, uh, Sevens and True Religion.

Although they are in the same catagory as Seven and TR, they are the best looking out of the three. The pocket designs aren't as loud as the other two brands, which is a good thing.

Yeah, I agree with Arethusa.
RR are this:

vs. sevens, THIS:

But quality, construction, and denim are all better. i don't know why you're so meh about them - I like them as much as my Nudies, which cost almost twice as much.

Those are definitely the most subdued RnRs I've ever seen. And while I'll admit I generally hate loud styling and branding, I'm surprised you'd consider them equal to Nudie.

It just depends, I personally prefer 7FAM over R&R or TR but its preference. I like 7FAM's soft denim and I have had no complaints about the long term durability.

They're comfy, the styling is good, and the denim has really cool patterns. I haven't had them for years but they haven't worn out at all. What's not to like?
