There are those who claim Bryan Ferry as the best dressed rocker, if you call his music rock anyway.

I've always liked Charlie Watt's understated style.

Eh, it's probably Bryan Ferry. Even so, Palmer was always nattily attired. RIP.

I was just thinking about this. Heard a Palmer song on the radio. Still can't believe he is dead. I would love to see a NCAA bracket about this! But I think the finals would be Palmer vs Watts.

I really thought this was a joke thread...

Obviously I'm going to second Paul Weller.. even if he has gotten chunky lately, but at least he doesn't have the "dressed by Jimmy Buffett look"... yet..

He's a contender for sure. I'd also throw Bowie into the ring. My personal faves are Mr Watts and Mr Ferry. Weller wins for Streetwear.

I agree with the Mod Father, Paul Weller is definitely number one.

Then there's Charlie Watts and Jarvis Cocker too.

While he is a drummer and not a lead singer, based on his attire for his current employment (and not when he was a rocker), I would say Max Weinberg. He is always well dressed on Conan.

As a drummer with Bruce Springsteen, i assume he wore something more comfortable and drummer like.

With my screen name, you gotta know where my vote is!
Following Ferry, I would place Watts( waited on him in 1966 in a clothing store showroom in St.Louis several hours befor their show so there is a personal bias, but that is a whole other story and lifetime).
I would place Palmer in my top five listing, along with with Jimi Hendrix and Brian Jones.

Charlie Watts wins it going away. Also, he's very cool and above the fray!
