Around here, people seem to think it odd that I wear boots year-round.
I have a pair in snuff suede comfort craftsman that I wear a lot in summer. What are your go-to’s for summer wear? Which leathers do you think are most ‘summery’?

I wore my Havana Suede Comfort Craftsman for a lot of the summer. I was conflicted because shortly after I bought mine they were released in suede Eucalyptus.

Have folks seen the Eucalyptus in person? I might want them for my second suede pair. The color is out of the ordinary but seems neutral enough to go with a decent number of outfits.

Bought myself some new RM Chinchilla Bordeaux boots. Tried about 5 pairs on, and each was a different shade of Bordeaux.

Settled for this pair in size 10.5G (my other 4 pairs are 11G), as they had the least flaws.. Started of a bit on the tight side, though fit quite well now. I did originally want the rubber sole, though the 12 wek wait and $100 extra charge for MTO put me off a bit.

Hello all

question about RM Williams sizing and fit

have had a few pairs. Got 9G craftsman dynamic flex that fitted fine 9 years ago. But when I got them refurbished/relasted recently it turns out they had stretched quite a bit. When I got them back were quite tight, especially across the toe area. Signifi

I got a 9G pair of traditional craftsman (leather sole). Quite tight across the toe/ball of foot area. Caused pain. Did stretch a bit, but it stretched well beyond the profile of toe box! Could only ever wear my thinnest pairs of socks with these.

9H Comfort Craftsman - waaay too loose.

In my process of decluttering I got very good prices for these 3 pairs on eBay. Funded a new pair that is hopefully the right size. dynamic Flex 9.5G. Interestingly when my original 2011 pair was relasted it was suggested after the assessment to have them remade as a 9.5G, as pressure in the ball of foot area had worn away the lining.

now....this current pair. Don’t feel tight at all. When I wear the thickest pair of socks I have (holeproof explorers) fills it out nicely, not much movement and is quite comfy. Quite snug across my instep, across toes the sides bulge out just a tad. But if I wear more normal socks they feel a bit on the loose side. It’s bearable but am concerned they will stretch.

I did get fitted at an RMs stockist and after trying on a variety of sizes salespersons opinion was the 9.5g was the best fit.

am concerned because I see many commenters saying that it should be tight to begin with, that they will stretch/mould etc.

using the online sizing guide I am 9.5G.

snip for brevity...

Oddly enough, I'm the other way around. My Craftsman classic is a perfect fit at 11G, but for the Comfort Craftsman I need 11 1/2 G. Go figure...

I've been taking real good care of my RMW lately - only wearing them a couple times a week, never consecutive days, brushing them before/after wear, spraying them with water repellent. I'm WFH so walks around the neighborhood is their only duty at this point.

Meanwhile some bogan's been wearing the same pair everyday for the last 30 years while shoveling horseshit on his farm...

I think I'm starting to realize that buying copious amounts of fancy work boots is a fetish.

Will remove if against rules.

Interest check before listing on ebay. Letting go of a pair of brand new RM Williams Black Suede Comfort Turnouts, RM Size 8.5G.

Bought these hoping they would work in the same size as my Craftsmen but don't seem to work for me. Worn in my house for try on, put back in the bag and stored away. No box but will include bags.

what size do you wear in general (CJ/EG/GG/AM or any reference point besides RM Williams Craftsmen)

Does anyone have an idea how the Rickaby fits? I wear a 9H in the comfort craftsmen. Saw a pair of Rickabys for w good price and might swoop them up if they fit the same.

Cheers
