As the Gardiners have obviously seen better days....thinking it might be time to retire the old boys...
The Stuarts London sale looks attractive..£253.34 all in to Canada. :satisfied:

I'm trying to ID an eBay pair. If there's a W on the bottom of the sole, women's model? Thanks!

I recently had an EG 82 in size uk 9, was too small by half a size (the convention apparently) whereas RM are TTS. G fitting will be fine for medium feet. I have a couple of H which are handy for thicker socks.
Thank you. Can anyone share his experience? Here is my original question:

Can anyone kindly compare sizing on the Gardner and Turnout Comfort with their Carmina (eg, Rain, Inca, etc lasts) or Edward Green or Gaziano Girling sizes?

I am particularly interested in hearing from those who wear average widths.

Hi guys, I've started trying to find another pair of RM williams boots (14D/E on a brannock device). I have very large feet and found that the 13G comfort craftsman and comfort turnout are both a little short in length.

I just managed to order in a 13.5G comfort turnout and to my surprise, they're still too short. I think the toebox is too tapered and so even though there's about a thumb's width to the end of the boot, my toes bump into the end as it tapers downwards.

Has anyone here had to size up one full size to accomodate this boot? I might be able to find a 14G somewhere in the UK but I'm worried at that point the boot will be enormous.

Thank you

Hi guys,

I've got a question about first time wear for the RM Williams veterans out there. I've acquired three new pairs of RM Williams (the first pair was too comfortable, couldn't resist) and am curious if they should be cared for like my other shoes/boots.

Do you apply a layer of shoe polish prior to your first wear or do you find conditioning with the RM Williams conditioner to be enough protection/shine?

A question for the experts...

My left foot is larger than my right, almost half a size.

Got a pair of Comfort Craftmans in size 8G online. First boot/leather shoe of this kind/quality/price for me. They fit perfectly on the right foot, but are snug around the instep for the left foot. Left foot toe box seems to be very snug as well. I wouldn't say it doesn't fit, but it's tight and uncomfortable.

I'm planning on breaking them in 20mins-1hr a day while I work from home. Will the left boot stretch enough to be comfortable?

Various websites say the leather doesn't stretch, but will ease and mold to my foot. I'm not sure what that means actually.

Any help appreciated!

If its uncomfortable immediately, you'll be fighting a tough battle. If the tightness is felt after awhile of wear, you have a better chance of it fitting once you've broken them in.

In my experience, the yearling responds well to isopropyl alcohol/leather stretching conditioners and using toe/instep stretchers. It's harder to stretch the areas where the elastic/seams are. The very end of the toebox (where the structure/celastic is) won't stretch either.
