Can someone recommend a colour of Saphir cream (preferably from their less-expensive line) to use on Chestnut Craftsmen?

I use Saphir MÃ[IMG]daille d'Or as follows for Craftsman: "marron fonce" for "chestnut", "marron moyen" for "dark tan", and "marron clair" for "tan", with some variation in between.

I've recently got new orthotics and they no longer allow me to fit into my boots. Does anyone know if it is possible to get RM's made to fit an orthotic in? Or any other helpful advice. Thanks

Hrmm, I see you live in AUS, could you just go to the store and see if a larger size would fit when you put your orthotics inside?

What colour(s) of Saphir do people use on their Whiskey RM Williams?

    Thanks,

When I eventually come to resole my RMW boots; could I have the Comfort Craftsman soles replaced with screwed leather soles? Just a thought.

I wouldn't think so, because the upper has the edge cut for a goodyear welt, which would defeat the purpose for a brass screwed sole.

Yes Inf, I almost thought the same. However, earlier this afternoon I passed by the RMW store in Bond street, London. I put the same idea to a very knowledgeable salesman. It would appear that you can have them sent back to Australia; the entire 'comfort' inners ripped out, and a screwed leather sole put in its place. He said the cost would be about £70.
I would of course forgo the benefit of 'comfort', along with the long lasting nature of the composite sole. If it happens, I'll definitely keep this magnificent thread (thanks Sator) up to date with details and pics. A part of me is still sceptical, doubting if this is truly possible. Lear

Got my first pair of comfort craftsman's today. Couple questions on fit.

Feels fine around the ankle and leg, heel only moves a little bit. I do have a decent amount of room around the ball of my foot laterally (left to right) so my foot can slide. Lengthwise they appear ok (ball of my foot at the widest part).

So is it normal to have some extra room like this? I don't normally wear boots so am unsure if they are a hair too big.

    Thanks!
