1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yeah that's fair, "pretty poor" is a bit harsh. I was actually thinking that same comparison of quality of leather and construction to C&J, which sell at a similar price point I think.

Any one know where I could get a belt to go with the mid brown suede of Ghosty06's boots? I have similar in coffee, but it looks the same.

I have 2 Belts from Kreis, very good quality, and they have held up well so far. there should be a color match somewhere here for you:
(I put a link here, but it breaks, anyway google 'kreis g├╝rtel' and you should find them)

Years ago, when I worked at the London store we were told that customers should not use shoe trees, not sure why though. Dont know if thats changed over the years though.

Oh really. Hmmm, I've been using these for 8 months since I got my boots. At the very least the shoe trees make my boots smell nice.

Just got a pair of black yearling craftsman and wondered whether anyone has ever encountered this problem. I constantly feel the fabric/leather line (circled in red) across the heel in my right boot. I have another pair in chestnut that does not have this problem.

Wow, yours? Did not know they worked with croc. Not the best matching at the toebox, however.

I'm thinking that I might need to get the elastic replaced pretty soon. Has anyone had that done? I assume it's pretty easy.

I had mine resoled recently and they replaced the elastic too. Came back looking like a new pair off the shelf.

Did you have to ask for that or pay extra?

Nup, it was all part of the resole. It cost $150 or something for the resole but I can't remember exactly.

Just ordered my first pair of RM Williams, a pair of chestnut Comfort Craftsman. I ordered them from Nungar, and while I was on the phone talking to Steve he mentioned that next week there's going to be a big price hike. Sounds like RM Williams might be enforcing their recommended retail pricing, because he said that boots he sold for $335 (plus shipping) were going to be $450 and $475.

I ordered a pair of black Comfort Macquaries too to beat the price jump. Maybe others would like to get in quick and do the same.
