I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a pair of dark camel RLPL cotton trousers. They are the style that has the tab and buckle over the rear pockets.

Does anyone know who makes these? They are supposedly price-marked $US295 from NM; would that be an indicator they are authentic?

If they are current RLPL, I know that St. Andrews makes the current tailored goods, and I would suspect they make the trousers as well. I know they are definitely a quality maker, but personally I don't like to pay full retail for clothing.

At that price they are probably made Cantarelli. The current seasons cotton trousers are $325, $295 seems like the price from a couple of seasons ago.

If they are really old (like over a year old) they may even be St. Andrews because that's when I think they started using Cantarelli for Purple Label. Look at the tags and you will be able to tell who made them.

Those are at the very least at NMLC (look at the tag, it has a colored stamp on it) or probably on ebay.

The fabric on those is wonderfully soft and they have a lighter base color that comes through the darker cord pattern which make a great contrast. They are not St. Andrews though, and I find the side straps with the belt loops to be kind of redundant. The price, though, is wonderful.
