For those in the vicinity, the Ralph Lauren outlet in Smithfield, NC has RLPL ties on sale for $25.00, regularly $145.00. Fairly small selection. I recall a burgundy/cream and cream/brown tie that look just like vintage $1940s ties, if that is what you are into. Also some nice black, silver, grey, grey plaids. Also, Polo II blazers in navy, size 50L and 50R for $125.00, regularly $1,000.00. I won't be going by there again, but thought I would give SFers the heads up.

Just a warning that a lot of the RLPL ties from the past season are the extra-wide ones that they were experimenting with. They were down to about $30-$40 at the end of the sale season in the retail stores. I saw them on the table and thought they looked good. Then I picked them up and realized that they were about the width of two ties.

These were not those, but a couple of them were very retro, 1930s, 1940s type ties. There were very nice, conventional width ties as well.

If anyone is in the area and wants to pick these up for me I would love the burgundy/cream and/or the brown/cream.

Do you know the width specifically?
