I do not know the seller and am not affiliated with them in any way. I thought I would pass this along as the seller obviously doesn't know what they have. No mention of Purple Label in description or text. Happy Hunting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....80&rd=1

WOW...

Edit: if nobody here wants it or is really gung ho about it, I will buy and resell. Anyone? Don't want to bid if I'm bidding against an SF member.

My size, too bad its double breasted.  I am confident at late 20's guy cant pull off a double breasted suit. But it is cheap-cheap, maybe I will try it.

I've bought RLPL (Edward Green) shoes on EBay from the same sort of clueless sellers. They are just listed as "Ralph Lauren" men's shoes. The seller has obviously had no clue about "Purple Label" or "Edward Green." And, potential buyers who use "Purple Label," etc. search terms won't pick up on the auction.

Their ignorance is our gain. In this auction, the seller is doubley dinged by misspelling "suit." Thus, someone searching for "Ralph Lauren suit" in EBay won't pick up this auction. The beauty of Ebay. No wonder our closets are bursting at the seams.

Plus people (like me) search by highest price would never see this auction until a bunch of people had already bid it up, which doesn't look like it's going to happen.

seems quite broad in the shoulders... is that normal for RL purple label?

i actually have a 42 inch chest, but my shoulders usually dictate a 43 or 44 inch jacket, to get them in. i might jump in....

i usually just search by chest size (both via a text string and the ebay search tool), but i've given up on most 42 inch jackets....

I'm a 42L - but I don't need any additional suits right now so I'm going to pass.

JohnApril - better get that high bid up - Closet2Cash has obviously recognized this as a deal and is trying to snag it from you.

I will say, at 24", the sleeves seem a bit short for a 42L.

Also - look at the pant size, the previous owner must be huge. 36" waist and a 42" inseam - I'm 6'3" and only have a 34" inseam - how tall do you think this guy is and how skinny must he be if he lost a lot of weight.

actually, she gave the outseam, not the inseam.

these measurements are just weird.

closet2cash seems to be mostly a seller.  i wonder what his limit is....

Edit: closet2cash is one of those sellers that implies that Tom James is made by Oxxford (see items 3972709688 and 3972710014).... I get annoyed by sellers who do that.

Oh - I didn't see that. The inseam is listed as 31", so even with the cuff let out, the pants would be too short for me.

I agree that closet2cash is a seller - I would guess he's trying to pick this up cheap and flip it - probably make a nice little profit.

I'm rooting for JohnApril or someone else from the forum to get this one. It should go to a good home with a caring and loving owner.

If you don't mind my asking, do you have a set of tricks that you use while searching Ebay to separate the wheat from the chaff and come up with great stuff like this?
