I need help from the RLPL/EG shoe experts. I have searched the picturial thread here and the polo.com site and have not found the following RLPL styles. Can anyone confirm that they are EGs and coould you please give a brief description of the shoes. The shoes are:
1. The Stern
2. The Hewitt
3. The Parson (not Pierson)
4. The Horatio
Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Where'd you come across those model names?

Ah yes, the legendary Stern...

What an unpleasant flashblack.

(The shoes pictured were rumored to be the Stern; whether they really are/exist may never be known.)

Corbens are up on GVH!

You know, that picture of the Stern, now that I look at it, has got to be the RLPL Pierson:

It doesn't appear to, but with the texture of the suede and the size of the picture, I don't think I could say that with certainty. And they are otherwise, AFAICT, identical shoes.

The suede shoe looks like the Mackay without the medallion.

Since our local Polo does not carry Purple Label shoes, I called the Mansion and asked about Edward Greens. In addition to styles I know, such as the Barksdale, Mackay, Carter and Grant, I was also told they had the Hewitt, Stern, Horatio and Parson. I asked if they meant Pierson and was told definitely the Parson. Do these names mean anything to anyone? I concerned that the salesperson may not be entirely familar with the distinction between EG's and other Purple label shoes.

I was down at the RL Mansion earlier today. The suede shoes pictured above (also a black variant) were listed as "Stern". Discounted already at 40% off. I may pick up a pair, but not really that crazy about the 89 last.

To the OP:

Stern and Parson are both EG for RLPL. The Parson is a lovely shoe. It has an elastic side (similar to what you see in an ankle boot, but this shoe is an oxford iiirc). Sold out nationwide in my size sadly... all the while that store demo was staring lovingly at me. I cried a little inside. Not sure about the others.

How much do RLPLs run now at 40% + 15% off?

Given that buying from RL gives you spring-loaded trees, I wonder if people who buy from GVH consider this a good deal. It would seem.

Do the math, bro. They are $950 retail. 40% off that is $570. 15% off that is about $480.

I get shoe trees for 11usd, albeit not lasted - so still significant savings. Polo.com won't ship to me in Hong Kong, but GVH will. So no problem there.
